About "ISACA"

Academic support program of the International Association "ISACA International" (ISACA Advocate Program) provides opportunity for university teachers to become ISACA academic consultants for further development and implementation of professional training programs and promotion of world's best practices in the management of Information Technology (IT), information security management, risk management and audition.

All of them gained a status of "ISACA" academic consultants - worldwide famous organization to develop methodologies and standards in the fields of managing, audition and Information Technology () security. Association unites more than 90 000 members in 170 countries, is a co-author of worldwide spread IT management standard "CobiT", and engaged in many other methodological projects in IT sphere. More than 10,000 professionals in the world have gained "CISA" and "CISM" certification, which were implemented by "ISACA". The mission of the association - is to create value and trust for information systems.


Benefits of participation in program

"ISACA" Advocacy Program offers benefits both for teachers and for students.
For teachers, program provides free membership in the ISACA International association as ISACA Academic Consultants and provides an opportunity to get free access to a wealth of knowledge, experience, scientific publications and methodological developments, including:

  • global ISACA International community (over 90,000 members);
  • ISACA electronic library (ISACA eLibrary);
  • a large number of standards and best practices, and examples of their successful application (for example: CobiT, ValT, ITAF, etc.);
  • results of global research programs, which are conducted by the association;
  • materials for training programs in the field of IT management, IT audition, information security management and IT risk management, with topic and academic hours indication required for their coverage;
  • half-year subscription to the magazine "ISACAJournal".
  • In turn, the benefits for teachers participating in the "ISACA" Advocacy Program enable their students to gain knowledge in IT management, IT audition, information security management and IT risk management, which will enable them to expand their range of professional qualifications in the IT field and get competitive advantage in the labor market.


    The role of Academic Consultant

  • Promotion of ISACA International among the student community and providing knowledge about the benefits of Association membership.
  • Adaptation of ISACA International training programs, as well as the creation of local professional community of students and teachers who are interested in promotion and methodological developments of ISACA International, and also a preparation of qualified specialists in the field of IT management, IT audition, information security management and IT risk management.
  • Practical use of CobiT, Val IT and other ISACA International materials as teaching aids.
  • Attracting students to participate in the local ISACA branch.
  • Encouraging students for ISACA membership, training and subsequent taking of certified ISACA exam, which includes:
    Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
    Certified Information Security Manager (CISM);
    Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) - certified specialist in corporate IT management;;
    Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) - certified specialist in the field of risk management controls and information systems.
