Pridneprovsk regional center of technical protection of information

The Pridneprovsk regional center of technical protection of information (hereinafter - the Center) was created due to the reorganization of the Pridneprovsk regional scientific-technical center of technical protection of information (hereinafter – PRSTC TPI). The Center is a successor of PRSTC TPI, which was founded in 1998 on the basis of the Dnipro University of Technology (at that time - National mining academy of Ukraine) by the joint order of the State committee of Ukraine concerning the state secrets and technical protection of information and the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The Center consists of the following sectors:
- sector of research and development of software and hardware for technical protection of information;
- sector of regulatory and legal support;
- sector of advanced training and retraining;
- sector of development and maintenance of complex information security systems.
The main objectives of the Center are:
- provision of the conditions for laboratory and practical classes in specialized courses on technical protection of information, practices and graduation of students of the Department of Information Security and Telecommunications;
- provision of the consulting services on technical protection of information for organizations, enterprises and institutions of the region;
- organization and carrying out of works on creation and State examination of complex systems of protection of information and complexes of technical protection of information;
- participation in training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of technical protection of information and cybersecurity;
- support of operation of complex systems for protection of information of informational and telecommunication systems of the University.
The Center has the right and provides services of evaluation of the security of information that is not a state secret.
Creation of the Center gave an opportunity to provide a quality training of specialists in the field of "Information Security" for three specialties: the systems of technical protection of information, the security of informational and communication systems; informational security management and the specialty "Cybersecurity" as of today.
The Center implements the concept of an association of a science, education and production.
